The Fertilizer Solution

There are so many challenges that have become the norm in modern Barbados, which simply weren't part of my childhood.

However, I refuse to dwell solely on the negative and instead will focus on possible solutions for these modern challenges.

Sargassum seaweed washing up on our beaches? It can be harvested and used as a low-cost fertilizer.

Sahara dust? It contains nutrients like phosphorus and iron, so it's basically nature's fertilizer.

Roaming flocks of stray chickens? Chicken feathers also make excellent fertilizer.

I'm beginning to notice a trend here.
