Who’s Responsible for This?

I’m Kevin Beckles — Barbados-based writer and recovering marketing executive. These days, instead of sitting in meetings about “brand alignment,” I spend my time observing the world and asking, “But why are we like this?”

After decades in corporate life, I’ve redirected my energy toward documenting the strange, the ridiculous and the painfully familiar realities of modern Caribbean living, with a special focus on the unofficial republic known as Kbecistan.

I’m also an author, screenwriter and full-time overthinker. I write about culture, everyday behaviour and those little moments that make you laugh… then pause… then laugh again because it’s uncomfortably accurate.

My style blends storytelling, observation and just enough real-world experience to prove I’m not making this stuff up — even though, honestly, sometimes it barely believe the reality.

Whether it’s social media madness, generational confusion or the ongoing mystery of how people behave in public, I write to entertain, provoke and occasionally make you stop and say, “Wait… I do that.”
